Delegates from national FENCA member associations came together in Brussels to discuss several topics that are of vital importance for the collection business in Europe at the moment. Dr. Andreas Bücker, Senior Advisor on European Affairs, updated the presidents and delegates from 11 different FENCA member countries about the latest developments on FENCA related EU-topics.

One of the main concerns of the participants was the forthcoming Council’s position on the “European General Data Protection Regulation”.

Besides that, the FENCA Board invited the members to give their opinions on the proposed statutes amendments.

As a special guest, the head of the Permanent Representation of Saxony, Mr Wolf-Eberhard Kuhl, informed the participants about the day to day business in Brussels. Furthermore, he gave some practical tips on how associations best transmit their messages to political representatives.
